Postponement announcement

We regret to inform you that we are forced to postpone the 1st Elite Basketball Physical Performance Summit, that was scheduled to take place on the 4 & 5 of July 2020, in Athens, Greece. As we all experience in our personal and professional lives, the CORONA-19 pandemic has created an unprecedented reality that we believe will jeopardize, both the quality of the event and the safety of everyone involved.

First, we are not sure if the Greek government will allow gatherings of over 50 people until July. Second, international travel is still a big question and many coaches that would like to attend will not be able to do so. Third, several leagues have already announced that they will resume playing throughout July, which makes it impossible for many speakers to present at the Summit, since they will have official obligations with their clubs. Finally, since no one can be certain about the extent of the danger presented by the virus at the time, we believe that organizing such a Summit and bringing so many people together in a closed space might put people in danger.

However, we would like you to know, that despite the negative developments and global uncertainty, we remain as enthusiastic and committed to organizing the Summit as ever.

Therefore, we are proud to announce that the Summit will take place in the summer of 2021 on the 9th, 10th and 11th of July at the same venue and price.

As you probably noticed, we have added one more day to the event so that you can enjoy more presentations, increase your networking opportunities, and explore our vendor’s exhibition. We will also make several improvements in several areas, based on the feedback that we got thus far.

Soon our website will be updated with new information regarding the new dates, schedule and speakers.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

The organizing committee,

Kostas Chatzichristos
Regev Fanan
